Charlee Garden’s inspiration – in her life and on behalf of her clients – can be found in the wisdom she has obtained as competitive endurance athlete.
Charlee's rigorous pursuit of the Ironman designation – given to contestants who successfully complete a grueling day-long race that comprises a 2.4-mile swim, a 112-mile bike and a 26.2 mile run – enabled her to complete her first Ironman in 2005, finishing in the top 20% of women. When she began her training just two years earlier, she could barely run three miles and was unable to swim a single lap across a pool.
In 2007, Charlee completed her first ultra-marathon, the JFK 50 mile run, exceeding her goal of finishing under 9 hours. To date, she has successfully completed two Ironman triathlons, the elite Boston Marathon and hundreds of other races.
Even with these accomplishments, Charlee Garden doesn't consider herself a "natural" athlete. Rather, she attributes her success to great coaching and personal commitment, demonstrating that you don't have to be naturally gifted to achieve excellence – as an athlete, executive or organization.
Charlee enjoys and appreciates the value of being effectively coached, and in turn, is dedicated to helping others achieve success. She welcomes the opportunity of helping you and your organization achieve your goals.
Charlee Garden has discovered that triathalons provide valuable insights when striving for success in any endeavor...
Read the road. Shift gears before you are in the middle of the uphill. Manage obstacles before they become risks.
Endurance demands efficiency. No wasted motion. Direct every effort toward your goal.
Successful improvisation starts with a good plan.
To grow, find the balance between pushing the limits and respecting limitations. Remember the spring: unstretched, it serves no purpose; overstretched, it snaps.
You are on your own, but never alone; a supportive team makes all the difference.
The Journey Continues.
Charlee is currently training for her "comeback" race. Las Vegas Half-Marathon, Dec. 5th.
