Background
Garden & Co. founder Dr. Charlee Garden has consulted with investors, business leaders and companies for over 15 years. She works at the intersection of business and psychology, drawing on both disciplines to inform strategic decisions and effect beneficial changes to an organization’s leadership, capabilities, employee engagement and risk profile.
Charlee has a multi-faceted educational background. She received a Ph.D. in Social Systems Psychology from California School of Professional Psychology, a Masters Degree in Management from Stanford University and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Brigham Young University – where, as a non-Mormon, she had her first opportunity to objectively observe a complex and unique organizational culture!
A continuous learner, Dr. Garden’s professional certifications include Master Coach, Newfield Group; Organizational Development Consultant, NTL; Myers-Briggs certification; Consulting Psychology; Generative Coaching; Somatic Coaching; Coaches of Change; and Six Sigma Black Belt. In addition, she is a certified USAT triathlon coach.
Dr. Garden co-leads a research project sponsored by Columbia Business School investigating how people dealing with change respond to different types of dialogue. In addition, she serves periodically as an adjunct professor teaching leadership effectiveness in the executive MBA programs at both Columbia Business School and Farleigh Dickinson University.
Prior to founding Garden & Co., Dr. Garden worked at Bell Labs, AT&T and Chase.
